HELLO THERE AGAIN!!!! IN THIS SCENE I MADE THE PLAY BUTTON WORK. THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT THINGS I HAVE DONE SO FAR THIS YEAR. I TRIED MANY TIMES TO MAKE IT WORK BUT I KEPT MESSING UP. FINNALLY AFTER ABOUT 3 TRIES I GOT IT! IT MADE ME FEEL ALOT BETER THAT I FINALLY GOT IT FINISHED. I HAD TO LINK THE PAGE TO MY MAIN SCREEN TO GET IT TO WORK. DRAWING A SCENE

HELLO THERE!! MY NAME IS JANA AND THIS IS MY FIRST SCENE OF MY 'REAL' GAME. IT WAS KIND OF HARD TO DO THIS AND MAKE THE FLY MOVE. I EVENTUALLY FOUND OUT HOW TO DO IT BY ADDING LAYERS AND SLOWLY MOVING IT AROUND. I ALSO USED WIKI TIPS TO HELP ME LEARN HOW TO DO EVEN MORE RANDOM THINGS TO THE SCENE. I REALLY LIKE HOW IT TURNED OUT AND I AM VERY EXCITED TO DO MORE.

   The Big Idea: Describe your team's game topic. What is the most important concept you want your players to learn? My game topic is homelessness.  I want people to learn that homelessness is a problem and we should put a stop to it.

  Making Decisions as a Team: How did your individual ideas from "Imagining Your Game" come together for your team game topic? How did your team decide the topic? I am the only person in my team so I did not have to think that hard.  The way that I decided to choose this as my topic is because I went to a large city and I saw a lot of homeless people.  I felt bad about them and i wanted to show people what they go through.

  Roles & Responsibilities: Tell us more about your team process. Please each talk about your specific roles, and how you work together.  I don’t have a team so my role is to do everything I have to do to make my game.

  Research: What kind of research went into the way you will express the game topic?   I researched how a homeless person lives and what he/she does for their everyday needs.

  The User Experience: Explain the game play. What actions does the player take in the game? Has this changed since you first started planning your game? Why? In my game your will have to find out where the homeless person is and help him get back on his feet.  I didn’t change my game much from when I first started.  I just changed a few of my graphics.

  Mastering Flash: What Flash resources have been most helpful in your learning so far, and why? How did you locate these resources?  I think that paper prototyping was the most helpful.  It helped me plan what my game would look like and what I would make things do.  I found this resource on the wiki homepage. It showed me how to do it and what materials to use.

  Overcoming Challenges: What curriculum topic has been most difficult for you so far? How did you overcome this difficulty?   I think that the hardest thing for me was remembering the codes.  I have overcome it by getting help from a friend or the teacher.

SNOW FLAKES!!!

WOW! IT HAS BEEN SOOO SNOWY AND COLD LATELY. WE HAVE ALREADY MISSED 3 DAYS OF SCHOOL!!! RIGHT NOW IT IS ABOUT 12 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND ITS GETTING COLDER. THE REASON WHY I AM MAKING THIS RANDOM BLOG ABOUT SNOW AND THE COLD IS BECAUSE WE HAVE TO MAKE AT LEAST ONE BLOG A WEEK OR WE GET A BIG OLE "F" IN GLOBALORIA. I DONT WANT A "F" SO I AM MAKING A BLOG......DID YOU KNOW THAT ALL SNOWFLAKES ARE DIFFERENT! PREPARING FOR THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

TODAY IS THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!!!! YAY!!! WELL TODAY WE MADE SOME FOOD LIKE PIE AND SOME OTHER FOOD THAT HAS TO GET COLD BEFORE YOU SERVE IT. WE ALSO PUT THE TURKEY IN THE OVEN TO COOK SO IT WILL BE READY IN THE MORNING. SO THATS PRETTY MUCH ALL WE DID TO PREPARE FOR THANKSGIVING. PAPER PROTOTYPING!!!!

PAPER PROTTOTYPING IS MY GAME IN PAPER. IT WAS FUN TO COLOR AND STUFF BUT IT WAS KIND OF HARD TO TALK IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA AND NOT CRACK UP BUT I DID IT ANY WAY. I DREW MANY SCENES WITH HOBOS IN THEM AND BOXES. I DECIDED TO CALL MY GAME BERT THE EVIL BOX BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO DESTROY BOXES IN MY GAME. AND THAT IS PRETTY MUCH WHAT MY PAPER PROTOTYPING IS ABOUT. PLANNING MY GAME!!

In my globaloria class their is only one person in a team.  My role in making my game is to draw pictures, make stuff move and to do research.  I am looking forward to drawing all of the scenes in my game and make them move so it can be played.  It is hard to work with other people because it is hard to decide on what to do, that is why we are doing it individually.

I am very excited to make my game!!! I think it will be fun experimenting with flash and finding new things about it. My game will be showing people how harsh homeless people live and we should should find out where it is occurring and put a stop to it. My game will also show you how to handle a homeless person. If a homeless person attacks you you should run.

Hello my name is Jana and we have been working with making this game on flash for about a week. This game is about a bunny who eats carrots and gets points,but he loses points if he runs into the wolf. This game is about straegy and reflexes to avoid the wolf. I like to play games like these in my spare time. I like playing these kinds of games because they are easy.

HOMELESSNESS

 Hello my name is Jana.  I am in the seventh grade globaloria class at EGMS.  The social issue for my game is HOMELESSNESS and I feel very passionate about it because.......

 HOMELESS PEOPLE dont have food, water, or shelter.  They have to search around in dumpsters just to find leftover scraps.  Some homeless people even have to live in boxes for shelter.

I think that people should try to help people who are homeless.  We should not just ignore this problem, we should try to stop it.  IF I WERE HOMELESS I would want to be helped,and not ignored.  That is why I feel PASSIONATE ABOUT HOMELESSNESS.

This game is about saving animals and how to care for them. Overall this game was good and educational. It teaches you what to do to your animals enviroment to help it stay as safe as possible. Although this game did not help me with mine it is still a good game.THE AWESOMEST WEBSITE EVER!

Internet safety and cyber bullying!!!

Kids have been bullying others for generations but today there is a different way of bullying such as, computers cell phones and othe electronic devices.  Kids are using these things to harrass threated humiliate or othewise hassle their peers.  The outcomes of these things sometimes result to suicide, changing schools, depression, and the victims hurt metally and physically.  It is wrong to bully people by technology and any other way of bullying. It should be stopped and every one should live happily ever after.videos and such

My math concept and social issue.

The social issue I chose is homelessness.  I feel very strong about this topic because I once took a trip to chicago and saw many homeless people.  The way that they lived was very harsh to me and they should have a home.  It is wrong for people to live on the streets and in boxes.  The math concept I have chosen is coordinates. It is very important to know how to find the correct coordinates when you are on a long trip or finding something on a map.  These two subjects will make a good game because we as Americans need to target where the homelessness is happening and put a stop to it.
